It was an amazing day for the “20 Mile” Race, which was the final ILD event of the year. 23 boats enjoyed what was an unseasonably warm day, reaching 25°C, with blustery southerly winds of 10-20 knots. 20 Mile Race Results and Cumulative ILD Results now available. Original details here.

Course Swap, Earlier Start Time for Evening Racing
Racers are reminded that per the Sailing Instructions, the first warning signal is made at 18:00 after August 31st. Also, beginning this week, Tuesday and Thursday keelboat courses are swapped back to as they were for the Spring Series.
Midnight Madness Race – It Was A Blast
Midnight Madness race ran on 18 August 2023. 19 knots sustained wind in the dark. What a ride! Most years, Midnight Madness is a gentle parade of beautifully lighted boats, cheerfully heckling each other as they race across the Olympic circle – that’s the yellow marks in the middle of the river. Not this year….
Fleet Awards Night – Report
Fleet awards night on 16 November 2019 attracted a large crowd of 140 NSC sailors, who collected 160 awards between them. Fleet’s highest award, the Commodore’s Cup, went to Aaron Wong-Sing and Peter Wood for outstanding competitive sailing and coaching respectively, with particular contributions to the 2019 Mobility Cup.
