Adapting to Needs

Sailing is a thrilling sport that is accessible to everyone. NSC has adaptive sailing programs and accessible Martin 16 sailboats for individuals with physical disabilities. Our Able Sail programs cater to all levels of sailors from never sailed to competitive racers. The Martin 16 is a small keelboat with specialized control systems to fit the needs of sailors with any level of physical disability. Nepean Sailing Club facilities and site are fully accessible.

Programs

NSC’s Sail Training Centre has adapted programs and accessible sailboats. We cater to all levels of able and adaptive sail training. Our fleet includes 5 AbleSail Martin 16s.

Based on your needs, various program choices are available throughout the week, with daytime and evening options. You can progress from a demonstration session to on-water training, later trying recreational sailing and even racing.
