Registration is now open for NSC’s new “Start Keelboat Sailing” week-long day camp for youth for ages 13+. No previous sailing experience required. Aboard NSC’s C&C 27, Sesiya, a small group of youth will learn the basics of sailing and focus on the initial development of practical skills while participating in operation of a keelboat.
Within a combination of onshore and on-water training, including day sails up and down the Ottawa River, participants will learn about the basic sailing terms, about weather, the duties of a skipper and crew, as well as handling sails, maneuvering and docking, and basic seamanship.
Space is very limited.
The Program will be skippered by a certified instructor and crew.
