As Harbour Master, I am issuing this yard layout plan as required by the Harbour Policy to guide all of us in arranging our boats, dinghies & cradles for the 2010 summer sailing season in the yard. Similarly, it is the member’s responsibility to move their boats, if required.

Boats that are for sale should be located as noted along the fence by the owners. Owners selling boats should move them as per the plan themselves or using the service providers.

Please put your tenders by your boats in the water in your slip. We will not be putting up tender racks this summer in the yard.

Boats still on trailers in the dinghy drysail area have been moved to temporary locations since the dinghy members are trying to set up the dinghy park on Saturday May 8th.

If you abandoned your trailer in the yard after launching your boat, please come back & move it outside. If you have a road worthy trailer (& according to NSC’s policy all trailers are supposed to be road worthy), please take it to one of the 3 optional sites below. Julie will provide refunds for any member who has already paid for yard summer storage.

  1. One of our members, Andy Bouma, has a facility in Cobden, which his is prepared to use for boat trailer storage. He will charge $50 for the season and will individually negotiate a fee for him to tow your trailer to his site and return in the fall if you want.
Please contact Andy at (613) 646-7304 or cell (613) 851-8696.
  2. Natasha (Tash) Pinsent has a facility 25 km from NSC and about 7 km South of Richmond off of CR-10. She will charge $80 for the season for a single axle, $100 for a double axle. Contact Tash at (613) 838-4095 or cell (613) 868-1842.
  3. Britannia Yacht Club will allow NSC members to store their trailer at BYC for $100+taxes for the season. Contact Paul Moore at (613) 828-5167 to make arrangements.
  4. Note that both Andy and Tash will only store boat trailers, will accept no liability for damage or injury, and will take payment by cheque or cash only.
