As we approach fall, many volunteers will be working to prepare the Yard and Harbour for winter. Some important dates are rapidly approaching and this long weekend might be your best time to start planning.
October 19th!
The Dinghy Park and Trailer Launch areas will be closed for this season on October 19th. If you are not planning to store your Dinghy or Trailer-Launch boat at NSC this winter, they must be removed from property prior to October 19th.
Trailer Launch Boats that are eligible for Winter Storage need to be moved from the Trailer Launch area into another part of the Yard by October 19th. Although space is tight, please refer the Yard Layout plans on the Harbour web page for guidance.
Dinghies that are eligible for Winter Storage will be compressed in to their storage locations on October 19th and will be largely inaccessible until Spring. If your Dinghy is being winter stored at NSC, we could use your help on October 19th to help with the close, please send me an email if you can help.
October 20 an 21!
Starting October 20, volunteer crews will start preparing the Commercial Haul Out area in the North West corner of the Yard. On October 21, the Yard will be closed to all traffic and W-Dock will not be accessible by foot starting at 0830 until at least noon.
