Tony Wright will describe a thrilling 2015 bare-boat sailing charter in Thailand, and share  ideas on selecting a charter boat, what to take with you, and how to check the boat over.

NSC member Tony and his wife Margaret continue to learn from their flotilla and bare-boat chartering experiences.  It started in 1980 with a small 22 ft sailboat in Germany. Since then they have had adventures in Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Florida and the BVI’s.

Tony will recount  their most recent experience chartering a 39ft Catamaran in Thailand. Hear how they prepared for this trip, what went right and what went wrong.  Lots of photos will illustrate the exotic coastline and surprising discoveries along the way.

The kitchen opens at 5.00 pm, and the presentation will start at 7:30 p.m. Check the Galley menu for specials keyed to the theme of the week –  for this presentation with a taste of Thai and Asia.
