NSC’s annual Turkey Trot pursuit race is the undisputed highlight of our sailing year. It is on Thanksgiving Monday, with first signal on the lake at 1100. No boat? Be at the clubhouse at 0945 and we guarantee to get you on a boat.

Sail once or twice around the yellow Olympic circle marks. Slow boats start first, fast boats start last, and everyone crosses the finish line together (yeah, right!!).  Keelboats, dinghies and cats.

Then back to the clubhouse to celebrate a great sailing season. Hot turkey sandwiches will be provided by the Galley + Social team. If you’d like to bring a dish for the potluck, please bring a dessert, cookies or cake square to share for six. There is no cost for this event.

There’s no Skippers Meeting. The Race Officer (Doug Patterson) will be available in the bar 0945-1000 if anyone has questions.

Got space on your boat? Need a ride? Find the Fleet Captain in the bar at 0945-1000 and we will connect you.

Here is the List of Start Times & Sailing Instructions. Look for your type of boat, choose whether you are using spinnaker or not, and find your start time on the list. Boats get the average handicap of all boats in PHRF-LO of that class, except for one-design boats which get their one-design handicap.

If your class of boat is not listed, please send an email to the club Handicapper.
