April 12 – 18th marks this year’s National Volunteer Week and we want to extend our thanks to YOU.
National Volunteer Week is a time to recognize, celebrate and thank Canada’s 13 million + volunteers. 2015 marks the 12th consecutive year that Volunteer Canada delivers the NVW campaign in partnership with Investors Group, Canada’s corporate leader in volunteer recognition.
We wish to take this time to thank all of YOU – our volunteers – that help maintain the club as a vibrant and engaging organization. Without all of your countless hours this club would simply not exist.
Volunteering helps keep our annual fees at a very reasonable level, allows members to build and exercise skills, mentor others as well as help maintain one of the best Sailing Clubs in Canada.
If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, contact one of the Directors or the office and we’ll make sure they are connected to the right people. There are so many ways that you can volunteer at NSC that we’re sure that each and every member could contribute!
So the next time you are at the club, take a look around and be proud of what WE have built together – and if you see a volunteer offer them a pat on the back and a “Thank You”.
