NSC came out of Saturday’s derecho with no significant damage to our grounds or infrastructure. In the Park, however, several boats were spun-around and dragged by the wind. Unfortunately, some were damaged – significantly fewer than could have been thanks to some quick action from Greg Johnston and Brent Beninger.
City power was restored to the club Monday evening. Thanks to James Pole’s quick legwork Saturday evening and Sunday morning, the club’s Kohler natural-gas generator was up and running, the clubhouse was powered and the Galley was open for Members and local residents alike.
