By popular demand and with the support of all NSC’s musical alumni and friends, an NSC member’s open mike evening is being planned for April 16th.
Organized by club member Charles Richer, the format will be slightly different than last year’s open mike with respect to making optional back up music available. By this I mean that if you would like to come up and do a song or three, a few musicians could be at your disposal to provide some background accompaniment.
If this is something you would like to do (perform with back up music that is), simply send me the chords and lyrics by email to charlie1 at rogers.com, and a few hacks and I will learn your tune and help as best we can!
On another note (pun intended), for those who prefer to perform on their own and to be as inclusive as possible, just show up, find Gene or me before the soirée begins and we will ensure that you are included in the lineup.
Based on the turnout last year and the interest this year, this should be a fun evening. So, lets get together and make some music at our wonderful venue!
