This is a reminder and request to please try and minimize your stay at the Service Dock.  Two hours is the maximum stay without special permission.

When water levels are high, not all of the Services are yet available: A temporary water line on top of the railing along the Service Dock supplies City Water.

Four reminders from last Summer:

  1. Slip #9 is right beside the south crane well and needs to be available for people who are trailer-launching their boats. Not just on race-nights but for anytime they want to use their boat.
  2. Slips #8 and #7 are the “express-lanes” with a 20 minute stay. These slips are intended for someone who needs a quick pump-out or a quick fueling or anything else that you can accomplish in 20 minutes.
  3. The maximum stay at the rest of the Slips is 2 hours. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, 2 hours just isn’t enough. So, for those times, a ‘slip ticket’ can be picked up from the Office and zip-tied to your boat so that your fellow members know that it’s okay for you to stick around; and it ensures that Gene Bruce and I are also aware.
  4. If a Service Provider is launching your boat, it is still your responsibility to ensure that your boat is promptly moved from the Service Docks and to your slip.

Bottom line, these are your slips and they need to support your requirements; the new signs and procedures are intended to ensure that everyone has access to these resources when they need them.

Despite these guidelines, we won’t be erecting a guard-post right beside the docks. Instead, we’re relying on your good judgment and a few simple signs.
