Because of the continuing high water, NSC will run practice races for the Womens racing starting on Monday, May 27th.

Practice racing for keelboats will also continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays until the BYC gates come out, as follows:

  • Tuesdays: Keelboat PHRF Div 1, 2 & 3 – one start only, everyone starts together.
  • Thursdays: Keelboat PHRF & JAM – two starts:
    • PHRF, all Divisions (i.e. with spinnakers) – first start.
    • JAM (all Fleets) – second start.

The racing on Thursdays is the same format as is used for the Frostbite Series.

The BYC gates cannot come out until the water level drops to ~59.0 m. This post will be updated when the gates come out, but if you see two Race Committees, and two courses set up, then that means that the official racing has started. Until then, we’ll run practice races, as noted above. These races will not count as part of the series, but this will be a good opportunity for both the competitors and the race committee to get in some practice. These races are open to all boats, regardless for which series they are registered.

The Sailing Instructions are available for download — make sure you’ve reviewed them before heading out.

Skiff, Dinghy and Women’s racing are as scheduled in the Sailing Instructions.
