It is with great sadness that we report the passing of long-time NSC member Paul Nixon, skipper and co-owner of C&C 27 “Velero”. A drop-in remembrance service will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, on Thursday, September 7th, from 6-8 pm, with speeches at 7 pm.

Reminder – Contaminant Discharge Policy
As planning and preparation for haulout and winter storage begins, members are reminded of Harbour Policy 7.3.1 that stipulates (under Ontario law) that the discharge of contaminants into the harbour is prohibited. This includes substances such as plumbers antifreeze and ethylene glycol. Boat owners are responsible for the full recovery and removal of these chemicals.
