This weekend NSC hosts the Ottawa Skiff & Cat Grand Prix, the F1 of the sailing circuit. Come watch as past, current and future Olympic aspirants converge on Lac Deschênes, racing the latest designs and using the most advanced technology in the sport. Participants from across North America will compete in the fastest, most exhilarating sailing in existence, intermixed with spectacular crashes, instantly decelerating from 20+ knots of boatspeed to 0.

The breakwater should provide some excellent viewing potential, as boats will race in spectator-friendly Grand Prix style short lap courses out in front of NSC. Feel free to wander around the dry-sail yard on Friday evening, and Saturday after racing (4:00 p.m. onwards) for an up-close view of the evolution of the sport, and meet the sailors themselves. Saturday evening will feature an immense party, Stanley Cup Finals Hockey, and Music by the Acoustic Shooters.
