Two Nepean Sailing Club sailors left for the 20th Anniversary Edition of Mobility Cup in Vancouver on Sept 9.Ten days prior, CN Transport picked up NSC’s Martin 16 sailboat and transported it to Vancouver.

Sailing in the Gold Fleet will be Christine Lavallee. Christine has been training all summer in both the Martin 16 (many members will have seen her in the Thursday night Jam races) and her 2.4mR. This year she has sailed in the Miami Olympic Classes regatta, the Canadian 2.4mR championship, the Quebec Cup for Martin 16’s and the Clagett Regatta in Newport RI where she placed 7th out of 12 sailors in the 2.4mR class.

Sailing in the Silver Fleet will be Karell Regnier. Karell is new to sailing this year. She has sailed in NSC’s National Capital Cup and in The Quebec Cup. Karell has completed her lessons at NSC and is looking forward to her first major sailing championship regatta.

Racing starts on Tuesday and continues until Friday September 17th
