This past week has seen some of the biggest TV coverage of the Nepean Sailing Club in recent history!  We were featured twice over the past week on CTV’s Ottawa Morning Live.

First off, on Wednesday July 29th our very own Executive Head Chef, Tim Barton gave a step-by-step tour on how not to be overwhelmed tasting wines.  Tim has extensive experience in wine tasting and of course pairing them with his personal creations (that we are lucky enough to enjoy at our Club!)

Take a look at his “4 minutes of fame” HERE.

Next, the cameras were pointed at our Sail Training teams on a wet and cloudy July 30th.  But the weather could not dampen the spirits of our instructors (who got in EXTRA early to prep for the shoot) nor the CTV spokesperson, Sarah Freemark.  She got a chance to see what Sail Training was all about, understand the ins-and-outs of our Able Sail program and even got real life capsize training after having taken the helm herself.  Kudos to Kerri Weller (Director of Sail Training) and her team for a professional sail training program, but moreover, for a great promotion of the program on live TV.

Here are the videos that ran on the morning of July 30th, 2015:
