The Kanata Sailing Club is pleased to announce its Open Regatta, on Labour Day weekend.
The KSC Nor Open and KSC Open Regatta Registration documents are available on-line in PDF format.
Details:
1. This regatta is open to both KSC members and members from other clubs.
2. The regatta will have separate Albacore and Laser classes.
3. Registration will be at the KSC Friday 31 August from 6 to 8 pm, and Saturday morning 9 am to 10:00 am.
4. Registration fee will be $25 per person and will include breakfast snacks and lunches on both days. Beverages will not be served so people should bring their own.
5. For KSC members intending to use KSC fleet boats, a draw will be held at 8 pm on the Friday at the club to assign fleet boats to members wishing to use them for the race. If fleet boats are still available on Saturday, they will be assigned on a first come first serve basis during the registration.
6. Skippers meeting at 10:30 am at the club house.
7. Course will be the standard triangle. Multiple races will be held depending on the wind conditions on both days.
8. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will be awarded based on all races for each class.
9. All sailors are welcome to remain at the clubafter the races for an ad hoc potluck dinner.
10. Please check the KSC main website on the Friday 31 August evening for any last minute changes such as deferral for weather.
KSC members, please note that 5 volunteers will be needed for this event, for Race Committee, rescue boat duty, registration, and general help. If you are willing to volunteer, please indicate so by email to the address below.
