This year’s Nautical Garage Sale may not have been as big as in years past but was a great success. There were approximately 10 vendors with their own tables, including Mr. Cuthbertson whose father George was one of the founders of C&C Yachts, Mainbrace Studio (sail and canvas fabrication and repair) and even a former employee for a Raymarine distributor “giving away” still-in-the-box instruments for $20.
The Sale used up the full 3 hours, from 9 until 12pm and all the lemonade was gone by noon. Thank you to the vendors who contributed to the total raised of over $400 for The NSC Legacy Fund.
A shout out to our new member volunteer Patricia Wallinger who managed our “community table” and managed to score a great deal on a couple of sails for her Tanzer 22.
None of this could have happened either without the cooperation and support of Tricia McBride (Club GM); Ashantae Spalding (Hospitality Manager); and the other very helpful staff; and of volunteers Stephen Kidd (Public Relations Director); and Erin O’Connor (Membership Director).
