Able Sail Network Canada announced on February 9, 2018, that Mobility Cup 2019 has been awarded to the Nepean Sailing Club and will be held from September 9 to 13, 2019. This annual regatta will provide persons with disabilities and their companions an opportunity to enjoy 5 days of racing Martin 16 keel boats in either the Silver or Gold fleet. This is a great opportunity for the sailors not only to test their sailing skills against top level competitors in an international regatta, but also to socialize with old and new friends during the day and at several evening events taking place at both NSC and BYC.

The event is hosted by the Nepean Sailing Club and the National Capital Able Sail Association and co-chaired by Aaron Wong-Sing (Silver medalist at the 2017 Canada Games in the 2.4mR class) and Alan Galley. We are expecting around 50 sailors and approximately the same number of companions. As the event date draws closer, we will be canvassing the BYC and NSC membership for volunteers to help with the event. We hope you’ll join us for the exciting Mobility Cup 2019 in what will be the third time this international regatta will be contested on the waters of the Ottawa River.

A Mobility Cup 2019 website is under development. Also, see a pdf of this announcement.

If you have any further questions, please contact Aaron or Alan.
