“Getting Into and On the Water” – On Wednesday April 17th at 7:30pm, the NSC Speaker Series is hosting a special joint talk by the Harbour committee and Fleet Captain on your options to get your boat into the water, and club sailing and boating activities this 2019 season. Along with other NSC members, this is a great opportunity  for those who may be more recent to NSC to learn about available Harbour & Yard services, and planned fun on-water club events to enjoy this season.

Let’s get all these in the water!

On the practical side, we will include launching, mooring allocation, cranes, haulout, storage, dinghy yard, fueling and commercial services. On the fun side, we’ll outline up-river ideas, sailing with friends, club community boating events, loaner dinghies, and racing. The presenters will stick around for Q&A.

The Galley will open at 5.00 pm, and he presentation will start at 7.30 pm. Bring your membership card to enjoy the member’s discount when you order food and drinks.

Looking ahead, watch for the “Cruising on the Ottawa River” talk on April 24 by Ken Aalders, which will be the final Wednesday night talk this season.

But look out for Art “The Ropeman” Grant on Saturday May 11 (one week after launch). He will conduct a workshop on rope splicing around 10.00 am, plus have great bargains on lines available.

Spring is almost here!  Time to get ready for another great NSC season on the river.
