Thursday April 8th at 7:30 pm, NSC’s Speaker Program presents Camil Laprise – an active NSC sailor and now-retired weather forecaster.
Come out to hear about how you can use Environment Canada’s FONCs bulletin to help weather decisions about sailing.
Environment Canada now has these weather information bulletins available on their website (if you know where to look). With the right knowledge the Bulletins can be very useful for making decisions on whether the weather is going to be good for sailing. Camil has many years of experience interpreting and adjusting the FONC bulletin information to let him forecast his sailing weather. Join us as Camil tells us how get FONC bulletins and get Camil’s techniques and tips on how to use them to make decisions on when to go or not go for a sail.
See details in the Speaker’s Program page.
Both food and bar service are available after 5pm. Everyone is welcome.
A $2 donation will be collected for the benefit of Youth Sailing.
