The Jacques Adam River Challenge (JARC) is ending early this year. All attempt submissions must be submitted by 2100 on Sunday, October 18, to be eligible for the 2020 ranking. The JARC has enjoyed tremendous popularity this year, with as many attempts in 2020 as in the previous 4 years put together!

Federal Boating Ban Lifted for Ottawa River (Lac Deschenes)
As of 4 June 2019, Transport Canada has announced on their website that the boating ban has been lifted for all of the Ottawa River, including that portion navigable from NSC. Let’s go sailing and boating!
Confusion at the Finish of Frostbite Race #2
In the second Frostbite race held on Sunday, September 29th, the PHRF fleet incorrectly sailed a shortened course. The Race Committee had signaled a “J” course, per SI 11.
Albacores Compete for Canadian Championship at NSC – Report
Albacores representing 10 clubs across the country raced for the Canadian Championship on September 20, 21 and 22 2017, in a tittle event co-hosted by NSC and the Canadian Albacore Association. 19 Crews came to NSC from Shelburne (Nova Scotia), South Carolina, London (ON), Parry Sound, Toronto, and Ottawa.
Reminder on dock overhang and bumpers
Members assigned a wet mooring are reminded to ensure their boats are moored such that there is no overhang over the main dock span (ie. bows, anchors, pulpits).
