In near perfect conditions, Sam Lowery battled his way through three heats to capture the highly coveted Harbourmaster’s Trophy by winning the First International version of the race.

About triple the number of competitors from last year and a very entertaining afternoon for everyone on the deck, thank you to all who participated.

Special thanks go to Ross Ernst and Karen Wright for their colour(ful) commentary, John Blackwood and Sam Lowery for their help getting the course set up and for RC duty, Paddy and Carland for setting up the deck and the potent Rum Punches and, of course, to Callum Smith and the Sailing School for those tiny O’Pen BICs.

After a thorough, personal underwater inspection at the first weather mark, I can assure you that your harbour is in very good condition.

Mark your calendars for next year’s event!
