The BYC gates finally came out June 12 (yeah!), and the BYC race fleets have confirmed they are ready to start Interclub racing. So the switch to the full Interclub racing weeknight series starts June 13 with Tuesday nights PHRF racing.
NSC will be hosting our annual PHRF Sail Measuring & Racing Q&A Session on Sunday, May 2nd, 12:30 – 4:00 pm. More on Sail Measuring.
We’re all anxious to get this season underway, right? Me too. As we start to thaw out, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Whether racing or cruising, keelboats are expected to be equipped with appropriate lights; these are required both by the Collision Regulations (ColRegs), and our SIs in the case of racing. There is nothing in our Interclub Sailing Instructions (SIs) that precludes keelboat races from being run after sunset, and sailors should be prepared for that…
A website is a lot like the start of a sailing race. There’s a sequence, all the boats are trying to align perfectly for the starting gun, there are rules about overlap and much coordination to avoid collisions. NSC’s website
