As is tradition, all Members are invited to nominate NSC sailors, boats or groups for the prestigious Commodore’s Cup or Boole Trophy for upholding excellence in racing, and the notorious Dumper award for the most creative boating technique.
Send a few sentences describing why your nominee deserves the award, by email to the Fleet Captain fleet@nsc.ca. Nominees can be individuals, boats or groups. Deadline is October 31.
- The Commodore’s Cup is for the most significant and meritorious contribution to the cause of competitive sailing for, or in the name of, NSC.
- The Boole Trophy for demonstrations of fairness, respect for one’s opponent, and graciousness in winning and losing.
- The Dumper’s Plaque is for demonstrating the most original boat handling techniques. The Dumper award is open to NSC boaters of all types and self-nomination is allowed.
The Fleet awards night will be Saturday November 18. Join us for a semi-formal dinner (as formal as NSC ever gets!) or just bar beverages, followed by presentation of awards. Details will be posted separately.
