On September 18-22, the Nepean Sailing Club will be represented at the Formula 18 (F18) Catamaran North American Championships in Burlington, Ontario. Two teams of Joaquin Fayat and Codie Lonsberry, along with Josh Foster and Jacob Livingstone will be travelling with their two F18s on September 16th to Burlington for four days of racing on the western shores of Lake Ontario.
Joaquin and Josh have both been long time members of the NSC and Jacob and his family are also long time members. Codie met Joaquin in 2019 when he joined NSC. The two have been sailing Joaquin’s F18 regularly since. Joaquin and Codie also attended the 2022 World Championships in Clear Water Beach, Florida, last year. Codie says they hope to do well and bring home all of the learned skills and improvements to other catamaran and dinghy sailors to improve as an NSC fleet!
