NSC’s annual Easter Seals Regatta and Bring on the Bay swim will take place Saturday July 12 – and we need your help to make it a success! Donate a couple of hours of your time and help brighten the lives of Easter Seals Kids. Read on for details.
Call for Easter Seals skippers
Come and help us take Easter Seals families out on the water for the Fuller Family Fleet Salute. This is a colourful, pirate-themed event featuring the Black Jack, Bytown Brigantine’s historic tall ship. Keelboats and powerboats are welcome and encouraged! Skippers are asked to come to the check-in desk at the main entrance to the NSC clubhouse by 10:00 am on Saturday July 12 so we can match up boats and families. Boats will leave the harbor at 11:00 am and you’ll be back on shore in time for a free BBQ lunch! We need room for approximately 85 Easter Seals family members so we desperately need your help! Please volunteer today and put a smile on some wonderful kids’ faces -– you’ll have fun too! For the skippers who participate, it’s always a highlight of the summer, and a great way for boaters to give back to our community.
Bushtukah Bring on the Bay Swim
More than 500 swimmers are expected to hit the water this year for the annual 3-km swim from NSC to BYC. As always, we need a number of keelboats anchored along the route, and lots of paddlers, kayakers, rowers and canoeists to join the safety flotilla.
