NSC Club Launch Postponed
Due to forecast flooding that is predicted by the Ottawa River Regulating Committee (ORRC) to be at, or above, the 2017 peak levels and the prevailing conditions in the harbour and yard, the Club Launch date has been postponed from 4 May to 11 May 2019.
Olympic Circle Yellow Race Marks, + 2 New Ones, now installed
The yellow race marks that comprise our “Olympic Circle” have now been installed, along with two additional marks: Q mark has been installed 1.4 Nm due north of NSC’s harbour entrance, near the Quebec Shore, and QP mark has been installed off Queen’s Park.
Pump Out Update
Until the parts for our normal pump arrive and are installed, James has modified “Old yeller” back into service as backup. Some of you may remember how this old pump works, here’s a refesher… To operate turn motor on with toggle switch – see picture below – and open hose valve as normal. This pump…
North Crane Update
Crane techs have been on site today. The lifting motor on the North Crane is operational but the boom must be operated by hand using lines. Please take your time and be cautious.
No Trivia March 23
NSC will be hosting its annual AGM in Harbourview Hall on the evening of March 23, 2023. Therefore, there will be no trivia that evening. Trivia will resume the following Thursday, on March 30th.
