The K4 red buoy that marks Blueberry shoal is currently on Blueberry itself, not in its correct position at the outside edge. Please leave extra room. This was reported on 30 May 2018.
Eric Hill returns to Ottawa April 21-22 to again present his ISAF-approved Offshore Personal Survival course. This is the same course that NSC hosted in 2014 (see Jacques Adam’s report), and that BYC hosted in 2016. In 2018, it will again be hosted at Britannia Yacht Club, 2777 Cassels Street, Ottawa.
It was a fantastic club evening as friends, family, and crew gathered to celebrate the season, and honour fellow members at NSC Sailing Awards Night last Saturday. Nothing like a vibrant clubhouse full of well-dressed sailors reconnecting, and swapping stories of another great season!
Gobble! Gobble! Gobble! Folks, the ever popular NSC Turkey Trot Pursuit and Feast is just 10 days away and counting on Monday Oct. 9th! This is an open club member’s pursuit sail race followed by a social Thanksgiving feast in the afternoon. All sailboats, members and guests welcome. Registered Handicaps are not required!

September sailing is just around the corner. And while our LTS Youth and Able Sail Race teams hit the road (Youth Championships, Mobility Cup), there’s a packed schedule of local regattas and organised sailing events on deck for NSC members to enjoy September’s fall winds.
Two of the more novel NSC social sailing events took place this past Friday eve and Saturday! And despite the threat of poor weather keeping many away till Sunday, this year’s Midnight Madness and HarbourMasters rewarded the eager faithful and astute forecasters with some fun, bonus club sails.
