This year’s Fantastic Nepean Fall Regatta was held Sept 9-10. A total of 40 boats, from six dinghy fleets participated: Martins, Club 420s, 505s, Open Catamarans, Albacores and Fireballs. 26 505s travelled from all over Canada and the US to Rhode Island for the East Coast Championship, including six from the Nepean Sailing Club.
The National Capital Cup Regatta was successfully held on July 8 & 9 after a three year break due to COVID and a slow recovery from the pandemic. This year’s event had four entrants in Gold Fleet and four entrants in Silver Fleet with out of town sailors coming from Vancouver and Belleville.
The NOD (Nepean One Design) regatta, on June 17-18, had 50 boats racing on two race courses on Lac Deschenes, with 110 competitors competing in J/22, J/80, Shark 24, Viper 640, 505, Fireball and Albacore on the middle and upper courses.

The NSC Pinhey’s Point Race ran Sunday, June 26, in near perfect conditions: winds were out of the south at 10-15 knots at the start, and built slightly to 15-20+ during the race. 19 boats, including 6 PHRF and 13 JAM boats made the 14 Nm trip up to Pinhey’s and back. Check out the…

It was a fantastic club evening as friends, family, and crew gathered to celebrate the season, and honour fellow members at NSC Sailing Awards Night last Saturday. Nothing like a vibrant clubhouse full of well-dressed sailors reconnecting, and swapping stories of another great season!
Thanks to a great team of volunteers and staff, another fantastic member’s NSC Turkey Trot and Feast took place Thanksgiving Monday. Defying the rain and some expectations, an outstanding gathering of families, and friends came out to enjoy the warm fall winds and some on and off water fun at NSC’s traditional closing social sail.
