Spend your summer evenings and weekends driving a power boat on the beautiful Ottawa river, setting sail boat race courses. We run the largest sailing race program in Canada, and need race bosuns for the 2018 season. These are paid part-time positions (weeknights and some weekends) from May to October with some scheduling flexibility.
Able Sail Network Canada announced on February 9, 2018, that Mobility Cup 2019 has been awarded to the Nepean Sailing Club and will be held from September 9 to 13, 2019.
NSC will once again host the popular North U Sail Trim seminar, to be held on Saturday, April 7th, 0830-1630, in the Harbourview Hall. The seminar will be presented by Geoff Moore, J-24 Champion and veteran coach.
PHRF-LO, the keelboat racing handicapping authority, has changed the requirements regarding main sail measurements. Effective this year, boats which have not measured their mainsails will have an additional 3 seconds per mile applied to their handicaps.

“PROTEST”… Racers have you ever heard, or made, that call? Do you want to know what happens after that and in “the room”? In conjunction with Ontario Sailing, NSC is offering a Club Judge Seminar on Saturday, March 3, from 9:00 to 3:30 p.m.
On March 17 & 18 2018, the Nepean Sailing Club and Ontario Sailing will host the Sail Canada Level 1&2 Race Officer Course. Under the capable leadership of two top instructors (Ross Cameron and Bill Visser), you will learn the skills necessary to participate in the on-the-water management of regattas.
Let’s go to Britannia YC on Thursday 18 January to celebrate the friendly rivalry of our interclub racing. Awards begin at 19:00 and you are all invited. Cash bar menu will be available, in the beautiful BYC clubhouse.
