Imagine being in a big dark room with lights streaking in front and behind you as you navigate the start. That was the feeling at the 2018 NSC Midnight Madness race on 17 August, the race that is held in the dark!

The ultimate test of sailing skill: the single-handed keelboat race is Saturday 25 August. Warning gun 13:50 at the Olympic circle. Boats from all Lac Deschenes clubs welcome.
The 2018 Harbourmaster’s Race was run on 18 August, with 19 adult NSC sailors competing in children’s Open Bics and every move critiqued by the landlubbers on the deck. Winds were (as always in the harbour) light and variable, with wind shifts at the stern of every moored keelboat. Congrats to the winner Kieran Whalen-Hughes.
