As of 4 June 2019, Transport Canada has announced on their website that the boating ban has been lifted for all of the Ottawa River, including that portion navigable from NSC. Let’s go sailing and boating!
Boats have been out cruising since Friday May 31, the first race took place on Tuesday June 4, and interclub racing will start on Thursday June 13. You can join in many social sailing, practice sailing, long distance, regatta and weeknight racing activities that are coming up quickly. See you on the water!
The North & South Cranes are now operational and electrical power was restored to the yard on May 22. Vehicle traffic into the yard is restricted to only those members launching their boats from trailers.
As of 22 May, the water levels around NSC continue to slowly recede, but remain high. The North Crane is now operational but the South Crane is not as of yet. Due to the flooding at NSC the Mothers Day Brunch has been cancelled. All brunch tickets will be refunded.
