Spotters and general helpers are needed starting Monday July 26 at 9 am when boats and cradles in the yard will be stored and for yard / dinghy ramp cleanup.
As you are aware by now NSC has been chosen to host the CYA YNSC for 2010. Young sailors from across Canada will be gathering at our club from August 1 through August 7 to compete, some may become part of a future Canadian Olympic team.
We need to create space in the yard for as many as 250 of these young sailors to store their dinghies; at the same time we want to clean up the yard so that we can be proud of the impression our club makes to the competitors, guests and media attending the event. This is not only the biggest sailing club in Canada, it is the best !
I have organised tractor drivers and Service Providers to move boats on trailers and cradles into a compact storage area. I am looking for volunteers to act as spotters and general helpers for these drivers starting on Monday July 26 at 09.00 am. When the boats and cradles are stored we will tidy up the dinghy ramps and the yard area generally.
Those helping will need to dress to suit the weather and should come wearing work gloves. The work will not be strenuous, and you will be welcome to come for any period that suits you – 4 hrs, one day etc.
Please let me know if you are able to help and when you would be available that week.
Thanks from John Mann
