Sailors looking for a challenge? The annual NSC single handed keelboat race will take place Saturday August 27th starting at 1350. NEW this year BYC and NSC have combined their single-handed challenges into one start and course to make things more interesting.
The course will take place within the Lac Deschenes race circle making use of the fixed yellow marks and displayed on the NSC Race Committee boat. Check-in/Registration is on-the-water at the RC boat. All boats compete in one division and are handicapped as non-flying sails (JAM) but here’s the twist, spinnakers are allowed for those who dare!
Two trophies are up for grabs for NSC boats, the Ottobahn trophy for the first 3 boats to finish and the Whippet Cup for the winner on corrected time. For further background info on this annual challenge, see Single Handed Race.
