The Bushtukah Easter Seals Open Water Bring On The Bay Swim is set again this year for the morning of Saturday, July 16. Please note that for the safety of the swimmers, the harbour entrance will be closed from 0700-0830, except for boats that are involved with this event. The Ottawa Fire Water Rescue Unit will be stationed at the harbour entrance controlling traffic.
Also, please watch for swimmers when entering and leaving the harbour on Monday July 11, 1800-1930 (Angels practicing), and Friday July 15, 1800-1930 (Angels & “Able” swimmers practicing), from the dinghy docks.
We are expecting another great event with about 600 swimmers. Roughly 170 volunteers will support this swim, but some volunteering positions are still in need of volunteers.
The NSC yard will also be closed to vehicle traffic on the morning of July 16, until 0900.
