Bring on the Bay Open Water Charity Swim is on the lookout for fresh talent to take our cause to the next level. As a vital member of our planning team, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference in the world. We’re passionate about our cause and we need passionate people to join us. Take the plunge and become a leader with Bring on the Bay.

Since it started some 16 years ago, with 12 swimmers and one anchored boat halfway to BYC, the annual Swim has become somewhat of a “defining NSC tradition.” As volunteers leading the event, we have been blessed with enthusiastic and supportive member involvement to the extent that the Swim is now the biggest (in terms of volunteer involvement) annual NSC-hosted event. In 2023 we raised over $90,000 and, since inception, some $750,000.

Like all volunteer events, however, renewal needs to take place if the Bring on the Bay Charity Swim is to continue. The current leads for the event have been “on the job” running things for up to 16 years and we’re getting tired—and we admit—older. Fortunately, many of the people taking care of individual aspects of the swim and their teams are still available.

The 600+ swimmers who participate are still keen on continuing this Swim. The Easter Seals staffers are still keen on continuing the Swim. The NSC Board of Directors are still keen on continuing to see the Swim hosted. The volunteer leads are still keen on continuing the Swim and are still available to mentor “their replacements.”

The 2024 Bring on the Bay Charity Swim is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, at 8am. If you are interested in help making it happen again, please get in touch with Stephen Kidd, Public Relations Director, NSC.

Together, we can make a positive impact and change lives for the better. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be part of something truly special.
