Please read on for a few friendly reminders of how to use your yard and harbour.
- Launch deadline is May 28th, yep that’s pretty much now. We’ve got several projects happening in the yard this summer and we need the yard cleared out. So if your boat is still in the yard and you have an assigned slip you need to occupy it ASAP please! If we have to relocate your boat in the yard we may have to charge you for the move.
- It’s time for the annual reminder to please be respectful of the time you take at the service docks. Full details of the rules are described very well on the Service Docks Rules of the Road page. The executive summary is that your boat should only be at the service docks for a short time. Some docks have a maximum stay of two hours and if you need to stay longer you are required to get in touch with the office to obtain a slip ticket.
- Speaking of service docks, it’s a great place to wash your boat as there is access to electricity and water. However there’s nothing that spoils the ambiance faster on our much envied deck than the noise and mist from a power washer. Please refrain from using power washers when the bar and Galley are open. Thank you.
- Tilted outboard motors make an excellent hazard in the harbour! If you have an outboard it must be in the down position when your boat is in its slip. Thank you.
- Masts that are not yet up and stored on your boat in the harbour also make an excellent hazard. Please get them up ASAP.
- We have new channel marker lights! For those that enjoy night sailing you should find it easier navigating the channel back to the club thanks to new lights purchased last year and installed this spring.
Thank you very much for your consideration. Have a great boating season!
