On possibly one of the nicest weekends this summer, 30 boats and about 90 folks met up-river for our signature cruising rendezvous at Baskins Beach. Some by boat and some by road, old friends gathered and new friendships were formed.

This year we tried something a bit different for out up-river BBQ…no BBQ at all. Chef Rony prepared some awesome pulled pork and coleslaw, Dave W prepared his signature deep fried turkeys on site, and of course it wouldn’t be Baskins without Dougy P boiling up some delicious corn. But, perhaps the most memorable dish was the deep-fried Pogoes…who knew? Kids enjoyed the snow cones and 5 gallons of our Baskins Beach Breeze, signature cocktail, was enjoyed by all.

Terry Tufts entertained everyone for hours and it was appreciated by all that he could join us.

As the sun set, the bonfire roared and s’mores were enjoyed on the beach. If you didn’t make it…you should have…well, next year.

These events just don’t happen by themselves, it takes a lot of effort by volunteers and staff to take care of the details to make all of this happen. I would like to thank everyone that helped out to make this years Baskins a very special event.
