For the first time since 2019, NSC hosted the club awards dinner on Saturday, November 19. Coordinated by Kit Holmwood and Fleet Captain Dominic Goodwill, and MC’d by Scott Murphy & Matt Davidge, it was a grand evening.

The 2022 NSC Sailing Awards Night takes place Saturday, November 19. Dinner reservations are no longer being accepted, but those who missed out can come by for the awards presentations which will begin around 8 p.m. Come celebrate the fantastic sailing and racing season that was with friends, crew, and fellow members, and honour your fellow awards members!
Per NAVWARN NW-C-1894-22 issued 2022-10-26, a new unlit green ORT buoy with identification K9 has been installed at 45° 24.049’N 075° 53.537’W, approximately 0.3 Nm northwest of Aylmer Island. This buoy has been added to the Navionics database as displayed here.
NSC’s annual Turkey Trot pursuit race ran on Thanksgiving Monday, October 10, on a beautiful sunny day. The winds were initially very light, which meant the course was only once around, though a shifty northwest wind at 6-12 knots filled in shortly after the first boats crossed the start line.
The on-line NSC Fee Schedule has been updated for the 2023 membership year, which runs November 1 to October 31. The fee schedule covers fees for membership, mooring and other administrative services. As usual, the fee increase generally aligns with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
