It is with great sadness that we report the passing of NSC member Barry Martin, a regular crew member on C&C 27 “Velero”. See this obituary. Family and friends are invited to attend virtually a funeral that will be live streamed at 1100 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020.
The Jacques Adam River Challenge (JARC) is ending early this year. All attempt submissions must be submitted by 2100 on Sunday, October 18, to be eligible for the 2020 ranking. The JARC has enjoyed tremendous popularity this year, with as many attempts in 2020 as in the previous 4 years put together!
It was an amazing day for the “20 Mile” Race, which was the final ILD event of the year. 23 boats enjoyed what was an unseasonably warm day, reaching 25°C, with blustery southerly winds of 10-20 knots. 20 Mile Race Results and Cumulative ILD Results now available. Original details here.
Parts A & F of the Interclub Sailing Instructions address the upcoming Sunday afternoon Frostbite races, the format of which is a little different this year. Following a request from the dinghy sailors, Amendment #2 has also been issued, to provide for a Catamaran & Dinghy class as a third start.
