The FAntastic Nepean FAll Regatta – FANFARE 2022, ran September 10-11, with 71 people racing in 36 boats. This is our annual fall event for small boats. The race committee fired off 5 to 7 races for each fleet, correctly reading and accounting for a 130° wind-shift in the middle of both days.
We need experienced volunteers as Race Officers and Markset leads, for weeknight races September 6-29. Normally, our race bosuns fill these roles. However, this year our staff have significant school and career commitments, and we wish them well. Therefore, we ask members to step up so we can run these races.
A gathering for NSC dinghy and catamaran sailors and friends, and CanSail dinghy students from Advantage Boating. Show off your boat, take a new or old friend out for a sail, gather round for snacks and swapping tall tales. Saturday 13 August 2022, 3 to 6pm.
The most ridiculous activity in NSC’s year: the 2022 Harbourmaster’s Race, Saturday 13 August. Big people in little youth boats sailing in the harbour. Open to any members, guests, staff at least 18 years old, including Advantage Boating sailors. We provide the boats.
