An awesome summer weekend regatta of Interclub PHRF Keelboat course and long distance racing at low entry cost. Hosted by BYC, the regatta includes a Saturday night social Steak Dinner (Dinner tickets extra). Registrations are now closed. For more info see here or the BYC LDOP 2016 website.
Attention NSC Women Sailors: The initial Notice of Race for the 2016 Sail Canada Women’s Keelboat Championships hosted by BYC September 15 to 18, right here on our own river, has just been issued. Online registration opens May 1st for the first 35 eligible Shark boat teams that enter.
On July 16th onwards, the Lake Ontario 300 Challenge offshore race was held out of Port Credit Yacht Club. The world’s longest annual freshwater race, 106 boats from clubs around the lake competed on either the Scotch Bonnet (200 Nm) or Main Duck (300 Nm) Courses in various divisions.
What an incredible start to the 2016 sailing season with a packed June of back-back club sailing events and the conclusion of a very active weeknight racing’s Spring Series! Your fellow Fleet Committee members and Regatta/event teams have been busy (Please remember to thank them!).
Reminder for NSC participating boats. NOD registration check-in is available Thursday June 16 from 20:00 – 21:30. As a courtesy for visiting boats and our registration volunteers, NSC boats and teams are strongly recommended to check-in, pickup their registration kits, and sign their waivers early on Thursday night post-racing. Please consult the 2016 Sailing Instructions (posted as an SI Amendment) to check your fleet assignments for this year.
