NSC and Ontario Sailing are hosting a 1/2 day Sail Canada introductory Race Management seminar on Sunday May 28th. If you are interested in joining the popular community of Race Committee volunteering, or would like to learn more about Race Committee signals, this course is for you.
With the re-schedule of club launch (and part of the NSC fleet still onshore), the originally scheduled starts to the NSC 2017 Ice Breaker and Dinghy weeknight race series have been deferred a week as well.
NSC and the NOD committee are pleased to invite sailors of all ages and abilities to the Nepean One Design (NOD) 2017 Regatta, June 17-18, 2017. NSC is pleased to host the 2016 Interclub Awards this year. So join your fellow sailors on Thursday, Jan 12th in the Harbourview Hall. It was a great coming together as friends, team members, and fleets alike reconnected to celebrate the season at this year’s 2016 NSC Sailing Awards last Saturday evening. Dinner before-hand was fully subscribed, and the gathering crowd of NSC sailors soon overflowed into the Lounge creating a vibrant social buzz for the evening.
Well Frostbite Sunday racing has ended and the annual club haul-out has begun, drawing to a close another super NSC sailing season on the Ottawa River! Time for the final fall 2016 report on club sailing activities. It certainly has been a particularly active and engaging season for the member’s organised sailing program this year.
The 2016 NSC Sailing Awards Dinner takes place on Saturday, November 19. NCS’s chef, Tim Barton, has prepared a classy, 4-course (incl. dessert!!) served gala dinner, so reserve on-line or at the office early for this event which always sells out.
