George Simpson, 1956-2021
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of long-time NSC member George Simpson, a founding member of the Able Sail program at NSC. See this obituary and read Peter Wood’s tribute, outlining George’s role in starting the Able Sail program.
Water Levels at NSC
We may need all hands on deck if and when the water reaches a certain level to assist with the placement of sand bags around the yard. Please check this website and your email for future information regarding the status of the water level and any action that may be required as a result.
Potential Deadhead within Navigable Waterway – Lac Deschenes
An NSC member discovered a deadhead (a log sticking out of the water). GPS coordinates are: N 45° 23.107’, W 75° 52.351’ (45.385116°,-75.87251°). Depth in the area is 14 feet.
