At the 2020 AGM on December 16th, the NSC Volunteer of the Year (NAVAA Trophy) was announced and virtually awarded to Rene Lessard. Rene was selected by his fellow members and volunteers for his exceptional contributions as part of the Harbour and Yard team during 2020.
Volunteerism is a cornerstone of NSC’s foundation as a self-help club and a vital part of our continuing success and growth. Each year NSC members contribute their considerable time, passion, and talents to running and maintaining the club in all its many aspects for the benefit of members and the community. And with the unique challenges poised by Covid-19 this season, recognising these member contributions is as important as ever.
In presenting this annual award, we not only recognize the substantial contributions of one of our own, but celebrate the many volunteers involved in making the club the success it was in 2020. Thanks to all of you who submitted nominations for a deserving member this year.
