If you own at boat at NSC please read on.

Last year the club started collecting proof of insurance via the website as part of the new policy to collect and confirm insurance information annually. The mooring invoices were mailed on January 27 and this year there are two small changes to your invoice. First, there is no longer a check box asking if you have insurance for your boat(s) but rather a brief instruction to go to the online form to provide or confirm your insurance information. Secondly, slip numbers have been removed from the invoice and will be provided to you once the final mooring allocation happens in mid March and once proof of insurance information has been provided.

The online form is easy to use. Go to nsc.ca/POI, read the instructions then click on “Go to Proof Of Insurance Form”. You will be asked to authenticate with your name and membership number then the form will go to the Bluebook and look up boat(s) information and then go to the insurance information you provided last year to pre-populate the Insurance Co. and Policy No. fields for the first boat. Make any necessary changes, check the confirmation box and click submit.

Due to technical issues for multiple boat owners the form is unable to pre-populate fields for boats 2-4, so this information will have to be re-entered. We apologize for this inconvenience.

If you no longer own a boat please enter “not returning” in the Insurance Co. and Policy No. fields and submit.

If you have any questions on using the form please contact the NSC office.

And remember, I won’t be able to send your slip number until proof of insurance information has been received!
