Come out Wednesday Evening May 6th, at 7:30 PM to hear Antoine Lacasse speak with us about “Ottawa Sailors Offshore Racing”. Antoine is a 23 years old sailor from our local CVGR club, whose goals include promoting the sport of sailing and the young athletes in the Ottawa region. Antoine made the jump from youth sailing to offshore racing, building on his experiences in races including Rimouski-Anticosti in 2011, Québec-St-Malo Transatlantic in 2012 and Rimouski-Saint-Pierre 2014. This June, Antoine plans to race in the Bermuda One-Two, a 630 miles race from Newport RI to Bermuda single-hand and then a double handed race back from Bermuda.
