Last week before Commercial Launch. Club hours in full swing. Boats in the water. Service Providers in the Yard. Spring has arrived at NSC.
Just in time for the start of another sailing season, NSC is delighted to welcome the newest member of our management team: Heather Erven. As NSC’s first Business Manager. Heather will oversee all “inside” business operations of the club, including food and beverage, room rentals, office administration and accounting.
In a recent post, Michael Hoffman described a new process for keeping NSC’s records of your Insurance details up to date. The “online form” has worked very well, had some very positive feedback and a few of you still need to update our records. Please do.
Sunday March 13, 5:05 PM. 10 deg C outside. Sun pouring in. Impossible not to think about the sailing season that lies ahead. Even with an extra day in the month, I missed a February report, so here is the February and “early March” version.
We’re now almost three months since the 2015 AGM and past Harbour’s Winter Equinox date to spring Launch, so it’s that time again for the 1st quarterly report of the 2016 season.
Mooring invoices were mailed February 5th, and payment is due March 1st. Along with your mooring invoice, you should have received a pre-printed race registration form, which we would encourage you to submit now, before you forget about it, or lose it.
Despite the contradicting advice of two Canadian groundhogs, NSC is on the road to Launch.
New year, new plans, new board. This past week was a “New Year’s Eve” of sorts for me: the Toronto Boat Show always marks the start of my “new year” of boating, and is a chance to look ahead and make “marine plans” for 2016.
