Forecasted water levels on the Ottawa River are expected to rise quickly this week. We are watching closely and putting our plans in action – expect some restrictions while we prepare.
We will wait for levels to stabilize before making plans to open the harbour. Dock anchor chains are adjusted for higher waters and we have installed the “Tiger Dam” to be ready when required.
There is an excellent resource page on the NSC website that translates how water levels impact the Club, see it here. The Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board has excellent data and also forecasts for the system, see them here. If they are accurate, the NSC Yard will start getting wet on Thursday.
